About Us
Khan Chacha
In early 1960’s Haji Banda Hasan came to Delhi from Saharanpur (UP) and met Haji Yusuf at Jama Masjid which was famous for its rich food culture. There he learnt how to make kebabs, paranthas, halwa and traditional Muslim food. Then in 1972 Haji Banda Hasan came to Khan Market and opened a modest shop. Soon he became very popular among college students and youngsters and they started calling him ‘Khan Chacha’. With the grace of Allah, ‘Khan Chacha’ has now become a legacy.
Javed & Saleem
Haji Banda Hasan has three daughters and two sons – Mohammad Javed and Mohammad Saleem. Mohammad Saleem completed his studies in the year 2000 and decided to join his father in order to learn the art of making kebabs and authentic Mughlai cuisine. Mohammad Javed also completed his studies and joined his father‘s work in 2005. Mashallah! With the ideas and contribution of both the brothers, the second generation is proudly taking the legacy forward.
